Events Support Volunteer (Arts Education)

Our Mission: We nurture and invest in artists, culture, and the arts throughout Santa Cruz County.

Position: Volunteer/Internship for Arts Education Programming - Events Support

Arts Council Santa Cruz County provides Arts Education opportunities to over 18,000 students across the county each year, through our SPECTRA, Artist Teachers Partnership, and Mariposa Arts programs. We provide these students with opportunities to engage in learning in a fun and holistic way, in and through the arts, where they are able to learn through seeing, doing, and being –making an enormous impact on the way they view themselves, their schools, and their communities.

Through our Mariposa Arts after school programs, we serve approximately 4,000 Latinx students, annually, in Watsonville. That means we have a LOT of arts supplies and materials to prepare each week, that we could use your help with! Additionally, we are involved in many community based events (like First Fridays at the Farmers Market in the Watsonville Plaza) as well as other events and workshops, and would love to have volunteer interns get involved in the planning, preparing, and facilitation of fun and engaging arts activities with youth in the community.

Programs take place county-wide, so a car or other reliable transportation will be necessary.
